Shining The Spotlight On Leadership Coach Nicky

At The Leadership Coaches, we are delighted to share the first instalment of our latest feature with you. Our leadership coaches work incredibly hard to support our clients, often going above and beyond to share their expertise with them. With this in mind, we’ll be spotlighting our fabulous coaches more often.

This month, we are shining the spotlight on leadership coach Nicky Chambers, a mentor coach and tutor at Henley Business School working on their Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching.

Find out more about who Nicky is, her approach to coaching, and what she’s known for here.

Who Are You as a Leadership Coach?

I’m Nicky, an executive, career, personal and team leadership coach and coach trainer/mentor.

Executive coach Nicky at The Leadership Coaches

I partner with and support executives, teams, leaders, future leaders, individuals, and organisations to improve their performance. In doing so, I help them gain clarity and confidence to have an impact on the world and bring new energy, focus, and commitment to their work, life, and leadership.

What Is Your Approach to Coaching?

My approach to coaching is simple, non-directive, and client-centred. I partner with clients to challenge their thinking, help them look at things from different perspectives, and explore options creatively.

I don’t advise my clients on what to do (vs mentoring or consulting); instead, I ensure they tap into their own new thinking and ideas and work with them into taking whatever action or next steps they choose.

What’s Your Superpower, and What Are You Known For?

I bring integrity, experience, and insight to my work using an evidence-based and client-centred approach. This enables my clients to build on their unique talents and strengths and encourages them to be open to all aspects of who they are and play a meaningful part in the game to achieve their goals.

My clients describe my style as honest, confident, inspiring, authentic, intuitive, collaborative, positive, and fun.

Coaching is about moving forward and moving beyond what an individual or team already knows to explore what they don’t know. Sometimes that means stepping outside their comfort zones and into the unknown.

I am comfortable in the unknown and working with people and teams to build their self-awareness to create lasting impactful change.

What Do You Like About Working With The Leadership Coaches?

Working with The Leadership Coaches means working with highly professional people who are committed to doing the best, most robust work they can in the area of leadership and development.

I am motivated by integrity - I bring integrity to my work and want to do work that is based on this and provides quality. The Leadership Coaches have those values and work with people and organisations that promote and embody this.

It’s exciting working with people who are driven by this and working with clients who espouse these qualities. Why would you not want to?!

How Do You Bring Your Expertise to What You Do With The Leadership Coaches?

I work for Henley Business School as a tutor and mentor coach on their Professional Executive Coaching Certificate for organisations, including the Academy of Executive Coaching, and across a variety of industries, including Management Consulting, Professional Services, Global Tech Corporations, FMCG, the Cultural and Creative Industries, entrepreneurs, and leaders within the non-profit sector.

I also develop and deliver a range of workshops, leadership and coaching programmes, and masterclasses to clients, including The Institute of Leadership and Management, The Guardian, Acast, The Girl's Day School Trust, and the Taylor Bennett Foundation.

I bring this wealth of knowledge and experience to the work I do with The Leadership Coaches in the robustness of the approach, the trust with which I hold my The Leadership Coaches clients (whether they be individuals or teams), and the work they do to achieve their goals.

The respect with which I give the process of coaching and allowing the space for my clients to grow is a testament to this experience and provides the backdrop to the work I do with The Leadership Coaches.
