The Leadership Coaches Team

Zoé

CEO and Founder of The Leadership Coaches - Executive Coach

Zoé is the brave and feisty founder of The Leadership Coaches, which she has successfully led through five transformative years, including its launch during the challenges of a global pandemic. A passionate advocate for resilience, diversity, and inclusion, Zoé is sought after by executives for her pragmatic, neuroscience-based coaching that delivers lasting behavioural change and tangible results.

Zoé only works with a select number of executives at any one time, focusing deeply on each client’s unique needs. Those fortunate enough to secure a place on her client list gain a trusted partner who is fully invested in their growth and success.

Leadership Through Adversity

Zoé’s journey as a leader has been shaped by resilience and adaptability. Founding and leading The Leadership Coaches required navigating complex challenges, including uniting a diverse team of strong-willed and independent executive coaches under a shared vision. She draws on her own lived experiences of handling setbacks, managing stress, and adapting to change to connect authentically with her clients, many of whom face similarly unpredictable and high-pressure environments.

Her ability to stay positive and productive through adversity has been honed through practical techniques such as using “mini moments” to reset and refocus—an approach she shares with her clients to help them sustain their performance without relying solely on extended breaks.

A Unique Coaching Approach

Zoé blends pragmatism with cutting-edge neuroscience to deliver coaching that sticks. She helps leaders identify unhelpful behaviour patterns and uses knowledge of neuroplasticity to embed new, more effective habits. Her approach is highly practical, integrating coaching actions directly into her clients’ day-to-day leadership roles. This ensures that development becomes a natural part of their work, rather than an additional task.

For example, she has helped leaders struggling with imposter syndrome reframe their self-perceptions, focusing on successes and cultivating confidence. Over time, her work builds stronger neural pathways that reinforce positive behaviour, helping clients feel more credible and capable in their roles.

Zoé’s coaching expertise has supported leaders in navigating high-pressure dynamics. In one instance, a female leader from a diverse ethnic background and a mother of three achieved her goal of securing a corporate board position with a "Chief of" title, demonstrating resilience and determination throughout the process. Together, they tackled limiting beliefs, developed strategies for managing complex boardroom interactions, and built the leader’s self-belief. The result? A board appointment that not only elevated her career but also enriched the diversity of thought and leadership within her organisation.

Zoé has a particular skill for helping clients use their strengths to overcome challenges. By shifting focus from perceived limitations to what they already excel at, she helps leaders build confidence and achieve goals they once thought unattainable.

Balancing Support and Challenge

Zoé’s coaching style combines warmth, humour, and directness. She creates a psychologically safe environment where clients feel supported, yet she isn’t afraid to challenge them when needed. This balance allows her clients to grow while feeling fully understood and respected.

She often uses creative techniques, such as “play” scenarios, to explore options and build confidence. For example, she might simulate a difficult boardroom discussion to help a client rehearse strategies and responses. This playful yet purposeful approach enables clients to experiment and develop skills in a low-risk setting.

Zoé also excels at providing constructive feedback. When she observes patterns or behaviours that might be holding a client back, she presents them as observations rather than criticisms, inviting exploration and self-reflection. This collaborative approach ensures that clients feel ownership of their development and are empowered to make meaningful changes.

Transformational Results

Zoé has a proven track record of helping executives achieve profound personal and professional growth. In one example, she supported a Chief Financial Officer whose leadership style was creating tension within their team. Through a confidential feedback process involving key stakeholders, Zoé helped the CFO identify blind spots and address gaps in their knowledge. Over a year of coaching, the CFO developed greater emotional intelligence, improved relationships with their team, and created a more positive organisational culture. The impact of these changes was recognised at the highest levels, with the CFO becoming a role model for leadership development within the organisation.

The Human Connection

Clients consistently highlight Zoé’s ability to connect on a deeply human level. Whether working with those who prefer straight-talking business language or clients who bring their full, unfiltered selves to the conversation, Zoé adapts seamlessly. Her down-to-earth manner, combined with a keen sense of humour, creates an environment where leaders feel comfortable and empowered to be themselves.

Her work is underpinned by a commitment to ongoing learning and excellence. She continually sharpens her saw, last year was the completion of a certificate in Neurodiversity in Coaching and she's currently exploring ethical practice in coaching, ensuring the company methods remain inclusive, forward-thinking, and impactful.

Zoé is a brilliant coach! I’m a bit of a sceptic and had some tricky stuff to sort with the board. She made it much easier with her sense of humour, which was a real help. What I loved most was how down-to-earth she is. I’m someone who says it how it is, and she didn’t bat an eyelid—I could just be myself and say what I really thought. That said, she didn’t let me off lightly! Zoé kept me on track, pushed me to take action, and in the end, it made a huge difference for me, the board, and my team. I’m so glad we worked together, and I’ll definitely be back. Cheers, Zoé

Zoé has been an exceptional coach to me, I am in an executive position and I had some harsh lessons to learn, Zoé's style and approach helped me navigate an exceptionally hard experience, she held me accountable in a safe way and I was able to see where I was making some mistakes in my approach. She had a great way of digging into areas and then helping me see there was a path through. There were times when I felt vulnerable and bit scared I was out of my depth, and sometimes I just wanted to give up, but I'm glad I didn't. Zoé has a knack of bringing some humour to help calm a situation and I knew I was capable of going through this. It was hard, I wasn't an easy character to work with and she showed me patience, kindness and drive to move forward through a very challenging time. I highly recommend Zoé and I know she has a great team too.

Zoé was professional, caring, and a great coach to me over the last year. She gave me the skills to reach my potential within my career, and the ability to be able to help myself reach my goals in the future, and I am extremely grateful to her. She is enthusiastic, clearly loves her role, and is extremely knowledgable in helping her clients. I highly recommend Zoé as a coach.
